Stanford Clinical Neuroscience
Immersion Experience
July 8 - July 19, 2024

During the Stanford CNI-X program, I explored captivating topics in neuroscience and psychiatry. Dr. Eagleman’s sensory substitution vest-watch invention, which allows deaf individuals to "hear" through vibrations, was particularly fascinating. Inspired by Dr. Harris’ talk on traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and neurosurgery, I developed 'NeuroAssist,' an AI chatbot designed to assess TBI severity and calculate GCS scores. The tool is paired with a website and app to guide patients on next steps, locate nearby hospitals, and notify emergency contacts. Additionally, Dr. Choi's project on mind-reading from brain activity further expanded my understanding of the potential of neuroscience in improving patient care.
